#### TechCrete Admix

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://4166469688-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJIw8FUsRU2wYcEPoyRbt%2Fuploads%2FeT75c6nSGaJJQ0BX6pDg%2FTechCrete-%20Admix%205gals.png?alt=media&amp;token=d03f1d50-a9d3-4c9c-a221-23ff12e7a945" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

TechCrete Admix is a permanent waterproofing admixture for concrete and mortar. It forms insoluble crystals in the water-bearing capillaries of the mix, blocking water, and ensuring long-term protection. TechCrete Admix can be used in mortars and surface-applied slurry systems. The moisture and lime in the mix react with the admixture's chemicals to create a barrier that penetrates deep into the concrete's capillary structure. Full waterproofing typically occurs within 7 to 10 days, depending on the mix design and curing process. The admixture is effective against both negative and positive water pressure and remains active with each water exposure.

**Key Benefits**

• Waterproofs for the life of the structure.

•         Maintenance-free.

•         No future reapplications.

• Seals present and future cracks up to 1/64” (0.4 mm).

•         No VOCs.

• Provides excellent waterproofing properties by becoming an integral part of the structure.

• Protects concrete and reinforcement against corrosive waterborne substances.

• Crystalline action is reactivated by contact with water providing long-term additional protection.

• Effective against both positive and negative water pressure. (reduces vapor pressure)

•         Non-toxic or tainting.

• Permits early backfilling without requirement for Maintenance free.

• Bridges hairline cracks up to 1/64” (0.4 mm).

&#x20;

**Application Rate & Packaging**

•         Coverage Rate:                       &#x20;

> One 22oz bag / cubic yard of concrete
>
> One 0.8kg bag / cubic meter of concrete

•         Packaging:                       &#x20;

> 20 soluble bags / 5-gallon pail
>
> 400 lbs loose powder

**Shelf Life & Storage**

Store in a cool, dry place and keep away from all sources of heat and sunlight. The shelf life is up to 24 months if stored in unopened containers and as per recommendations. Please adhere to the same storage advisories when product is being stored on the project site.

**How to Apply**

TechCrete Admix may be added to the concrete or mortar at either the batching plant, or it can be added to the mixer at the job site. It is preferable that TechCrete Admix be added to the dry mix to ensure even distribution prior to the addition of water. If TechCrete Admix is added after the addition of water, mixing must continue for an additional 10 minutes prior to placement of the mix.

**Concrete Curing**

For proper curing of concrete when TechCrete Admix has been used, effort must be made to prevent concrete from drying too fast. This means that the concrete should be kept wet for at least 7 days after the initial pour of the concrete. One method to accomplish this is misting with water and then covering with a polyethylene sheet or curing blankets. Additionally, to ensure proper curing, it is recommended that the surface of the concrete be protected from any adverse environment for the 7-day curing period. Do not use any chemical curing agents in combination with TechCrete Admix unless approved or supplied by Alchemco.

Please refer to the [TechCrete Admix TDS for further details](https://alchemco.com/data-sheets).

#### Emulsifying Cleaner

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://4166469688-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJIw8FUsRU2wYcEPoyRbt%2Fuploads%2FWmcVsFbPYmH2AhHup4uc%2FACRtec%20-%20Emulsifying%205%20gals.png?alt=media&amp;token=1df86725-a200-4f69-aca7-d6a0d3781402" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

ACRtec Emulsifying Cleaner is designed to be used when oil and grease are present on the surface of the concrete. Oil, grease, and similar hydrocarbon products will stop the proper penetration of the waterproofing agents into the surface of the concrete. ACRtec Emulsifying Cleaner works by converting oil, grease, fats, and animal by-products into a soapy solution which floats up and out of a surface during the rinsing process. It effectively removes wax off tile or inlaid floors and cleans tools and equipment. This emulsifying process permeates into voids, cracks, or concrete surfaces, converting the oily matter into a soapy solution permitting easy removal.

**Application Rate & Packaging**

Coverage Rate:           &#x20;

* 300 square feet / 5-gallon pail
* 28 square meters / 19-liter pail

Packaging:

* 5-gallon pail / 19-liter pail

Note: Repeated applications may be necessary for heavy oil and grease, which will reduce the coverage rate.

**Shelf Life & Storage**

Store in a cool, dry place and keep away from all sources of heat and sunlight. The shelf life is up to 24 months if stored in unopened containers and as per recommendations. Please adhere to the same storage advisories when product is being stored on the project site.

**How to Apply:**

*(see* [*ETT Application Procedure – Order of Operations*](/alchemco-documentation/ett-application-procedure.md#order-of-operations) *prior to applying)*

1\. Apply the product using a pump-style sprayer. Apply a liberal coat of product to ensure complete coverage.

2\. Using a scrubbing-type brush, scrub the surface of the concrete to loosen and suspend the dirt and oils. As a supplement to the scrubbing brush, a pressure washer may be used.

3\. Once the entire surface has been scrubbed and dirt and oil are suspended and removed, begin rinsing the surface with clean water.

4\. Visually inspect. If heavy deposits of dirt and oil are still remaining, repeat the application of ACRtec Emulsifying Cleaner.

**Clean Up**

Clean all equipment immediately after use. Do not allow water to remain in contact with equipment for long periods of time.

**Precautions**

ACRtec Emulsifying Cleaner is a powerful cleaner and if used without proper dilution may damage surfaces. Always test at your intended dilution, in an inconspicuous section of the surface.

ACRtec Concrete & Masonry Etch is a non-corrosive, non-skin irritant, and biodegradable surface etch that is as effective as traditional acids. It can be utilized for a variety of use cases.

The formulation was made to replace 32% hydrochloric acid without the dangers associated with that hazardous cleaner. It contains no natural acid, is non-corrosive, and because it is 100% synthetic, no neutralizing step is needed. It is the easiest etching product you will ever use.

The extreme hydrogen load in this product gives it the punch it needs to dissolve calcium carbonate, but because the hydrogen in this product has a much stronger bond to the H ion than those in acids, it has a slower spending nature. This makes it ideal for use in detailed and architectural etching. Because it is non-fuming, it can be used indoors where using muriatic acid or hydrochloric acid would be problematic. temperature extremes.

#### L43 Crack Filler

ACRtec L43 Crack Filler is a two-component, surface applied, cementitious crack filling material for concrete and cement protection. When applied to concrete cracks that are no longer moving, the insoluble crystals within the product react with the waterproofing material to form and develop in the water bearing capillaries, effectively blocking the passage of water and ensuring permanent water tightness throughout the life of the structure.

**Physical Properties**

•         Light gray powder

•         Non-toxic

•         Working time: 20 – 30 minutes

•         Hardening time: 2 hours

•         Density 112.37 lb/cu.ft. or 1.80 g/cu.cm.

**Performance Properties**

ACRtec L43 Crack Filler is made up of 2 components. Part A the cementitious powder and Part B the reactive liquid. When Part A and B are mixed and applied to a concrete or cement surface, the material reacts with the lime in the concrete to create a penetrating waterproofing crystalline barrier. The crystals that are formed when the material is placed in the crack penetrate the capillaries of the surrounding concrete and prevent moisture from passing. ACRtec L43 Crack Filler’s crystals will be fully developed and functional after 7-10 days. Once the crystals are fully developed, the chemicals that penetrate into the surrounding existing concrete help to strengthen and reinforce the surrounding concrete. This means that cracks only need to be dry and free of debris; no routing or grinding is necessary to use ACRtec L43 Crack Filler.

**Application Rates & Packaging**

Coverage Rate:

* 80 – 120 linear feet / 5-gallon pail kit
* 25 – 37 linear meters / 19-liter pail kit

Note: The coverage rate is based upon an average application. In many cases, the coverage may be slightly lower due to the size of the crack.

Packaging:

* 5-gallon (19 liter) pail kit – 4 bags & bottles (Part A & B)

**Shelf Life & Storage**

ACRtec L43 Crack Filler should be stored in the same manner as cement, in a cool dry place. In unopened and undamaged original packaging, this product has a shelf life of 2 years. Please adhere to the same storage advisories when product is being stored on the project site.

**How to Apply**

*(see* [*ETT Application Procedure – Order of Operations*](/alchemco-documentation/ett-application-procedure.md#order-of-operations) *prior to applying)*

1\. Combine by pouring the full Part A (powder) into the full Part B (liquid) in a bucket

2\. Mix thoroughly either manually or with a mixing blade slowly. (Do not introduce air)

3\. Place mixture into the provided grout bag and lightly squeeze product evenly into cracks (if the product begins to dry, add a small amount of water)

4\. Apply enough material to slightly overfill the crack, allowing full coverage as it settles.

5\. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes

6\. Remove excess material by scraping the surface with a putty knife or trowel

(Protect cracks from traffic for no less than 24 hours.)

**Precautions**

**How to Apply**

**Surface Preparation**

Ensure all surfaces and joints are clean and free from dust and oil that may affect the adhesion. A thorough wire brushing, grinding, sandblasting, or solvent cleaning may be required to expose a clean and sound substrate. If the product is to be applied on glazed surfaces like ceramic or terrazzo tiles or porcelain enamel joint surfaces, the glaze should be removed by abrading with sandpaper or wire brush. Fill any gaps, expansion joints, etc., with a bond breaking backing rod inserted into all moving joints to avoid a three-sided adhesion.

**Applying Product**

*(see* [*ETT Application Procedure – Order of Operations*](/alchemco-documentation/ett-application-procedure.md#order-of-operations) *prior to applying)*

1\. Apply product by extruding the sealant into the joint using a caulking gun, ensuring even pressure on the trigger. (on vertical joints, start from the bottom and work upwards)

2\. Using a suitable tool or caulking gun, ensure that the product achieves a smooth glass profile and proper seal on both sides of the joint.

(for horizontal-to-vertical applications, tooled finish should be at a 45° angle)

**Joint Design**

The width of the joint should be a minimum of 4 times the anticipated movement of the joint. Joints with cyclic movement should have a width to depth ratio of 2:1 for butt joints and 1:1 for static and lap joints. The joint depth shall not exceed the width.

**Clean Up**

Remove all excess sealant with a scraper. Any spillage can be cleaned using xylene or other approved solvents. Clean all tools and equipment immediately after tooling. Hardened materials can only be removed mechanically.

#### Crystalline Admix

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://4166469688-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJIw8FUsRU2wYcEPoyRbt%2Fuploads%2FK98fGTnJzRLodie0j3C1%2FenDuratite%20-%20Admix%2020-22oz.png?alt=media&amp;token=ed4fe941-e643-4d07-bc42-1bdcc2c8a3b0" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

EnDuratite Crystalline Admix is a permanent waterproofing admixture. When added to concrete or mortar, insoluble crystals are formed and developed in the water-bearing capillaries of the mix. This effectively blocks the passage of water, ensuring permanent water tightness throughout the life of the structure. It also permits the transmission of air and water vapor, enabling the structure to breathe. EnDuratite Crystalline Admix can also be used in waterproofing mortars and surface applied slurry systems.

The rate of crystalline development varies with the variations in the mix design and curing regime of the concrete. However, crystalline development is usually sufficient to provide full waterproofing properties approximately 7-10 days after placement.

EnDuratite Crystalline Admix is equally effective against both negative and positive water or osmotic pressure. The active chemicals within enDuratite Crystalline Admix remain dormant in the concrete or mortar to offer long term protection. Any later contact with water will reactivate the sealing process.

• Permits early backfilling without a requirement for protection boards.

•         Maintenance free.

• Bridges hairline cracks up to 1/64” (0.4 mm).

**Application Rate & Packaging**

Coverage Rate:  &#x20;

* 1 bag / cubic yard of concrete - 3,600 psi to 7,200 psi (25mpa to 50mpa)

Packaging:

* 20 bags / 5-gallon pails

**Shelf Life & Storage**

Store in a cool, dry place and keep away from all sources of heat and sunlight. The shelf life is up to 24 months if stored in unopened containers and as per recommendations. Please adhere to the same storage advisories when product is being stored on the project site.

**How to Apply**

enDuratite Crystalline Admix may be added to the concrete or mortar at either the batching plant or it can be added to the mixer at the job site. It is preferable that enDuratite Crystalline Admix be added to the dry mix to ensure even distribution prior to the addition of water. If enDuratite Crystalline Admix is added after the addition of water, mixing must continue for an additional 10 minutes prior to placement of the mix.

**Concrete Curing**

For proper curing of concrete when enDuratite Crystalline Admix has been used, effort must be made to prevent concrete from drying too fast. Do not use any chemical curing agents in combination with enDuratite Crystalline Admix unless approved or supplied by Alchemco.

Note: Set time does not significantly impact initial setting and final setting time.

**Precautions**

Wear protective gloves, clothing, face, and eye protection. If on skin, wash with plenty of water. Move the person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If skin irritation or rash occurs, seek medical assistance. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with national regulations.

**When and where to apply?**

Enduratite Repair Grout should be used when concrete remediation is required. Areas where repair grout would be most effective are concrete spalling conditions, repairing air/bug holes/tie rods, repairing unconsolidated concrete, and any areas where concrete has been deemed to be failed. EnDuratite Repair Grout can be used to create a 45-degree cant when transitioning from horizontal to vertical. EnDuratite Repair Grout can also be used to close off through cracks, where the underside of the concrete structure can be accessed. EnDuratite Repair Grout is intended to restore continuity within the concrete substrate, eliminate voids where water may travel or pressurize, and provide a sound, cementitious repair prior to final detailing or service exposure. For active leaks, water should first be stopped, and the void properly opened and treated with ETT before placement of the Repair Grout.

**How to Apply**

*(see* [*ETT Application Procedure – Order of Operations*](/alchemco-documentation/ett-application-procedure.md#order-of-operations) *prior to applying)*

**Preparation of Substrate**

The substrate surface must be free from oil, grease, or any loosely adherent materials. If the concrete surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to sound base. Bolt holes or fixing pockets must be blown clean of any dirt or debris. All absorbent surfaces must be well saturated with clean water, but free of any surface water or puddles prior to the application of enDuratite Repair Grout.

**Mixing**

•         Neat:

> o   Add 1.18gal - 1.26gal (4.5L - 4.8 L) of clean water to 55lb pail (25kg bag).
>
> (Add water in first, then powder; increase or decrease water to desired viscosity)
>
> o A forced-action mixer may be used at a speed of (400 500 rpm) for 2 - 3 minutes, or hand mixing is allowed.

•         Extended:

> o   With a 55lb pail (25kg bag) 24.25lb (11kg) of 13/64" (5mm) - 3/8" (10mm) pea gravel.

**Curing**

If form work type of repair is used, leave the form work in place for at least 3 days. Cure the exposed areas with appropriate curing methods.

**Cleaning**

EnDuratite Repair Grout should be removed from tools, equipment and mixers with clean water prior to the initial set. Cured material can only be removed mechanically or by a metal scraper.

**Product Placement**

At 74 °F (23 °C), place the grout within 20 minutes of mixing. enDuratite Repair Grout can be placed in thicknesses up to 4” (100 mm) in a single pour.

Sufficient grout must be prepared before starting. The time taken to pour a batch must be regulated to match the time required to prepare the next batch.

Pouring should be done from one side of the void to eliminate any air or water becoming trapped under the baseplate. It is advisable to pour the grout across the shortest distance of travel. The grout head must be maintained at all times to ensure a continuous grout front with no air entrapment.

#### Foundation

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://4166469688-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJIw8FUsRU2wYcEPoyRbt%2Fuploads%2FAbktw3FXOHD8dHolaElE%2FenDuratite%20-%20Foundation%2055lb.png?alt=media&amp;token=85b1d8ec-d730-49d8-b204-e16441f6c942" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

EnDuratite Foundation is a single-component, cementitious based, surface-applied, crystalline product that when mixed with water, creates a slurry for concrete and cement protection. When applied to the surface of concrete or cement-based materials, insoluble crystals form and develop in the water bearing capillaries, effectively blocking the passage of water and ensuring permanent water tightness throughout the life of the structure.

**Key Benefits**

• Becomes an integral part of the structure.

•         Provides long-lasting waterproofing coverage.

• Protects concrete against corrosive substances.

• Crystalline technology will continue to react to water contact.

• May be used against negative or positive water pressure.

•         Non-toxic

**Physical Properties**

•         Gray fine powder

•         Non-toxic

• Working time - up to 1 hour with continuous stirring

•         Hardening time - 4 - 6 hours

•         Density 112.37 lb/ft³ - 1.80 g/cm³

**Performance Properties**

•         Permanently waterproofs concrete.

• Activates and reactivates in the presence of water.

• Penetrates below the surface of the concrete.

• Protects reinforcing steel against corrosion.

**Performance Timeline**

EnDuratite Foundation’s crystals will be fully developed and functional after 7-10 days. Even after the crystals are fully developed, the chemicals that penetrate the concrete store themselves within the concrete and activate when they encounter water. If a crack forms after Foundation is applied, the crystals will continue to grow and protect the concrete from water damage.

EnDuratite Foundation can be used against negative and positive water or hydrostatic pressure and can be used on an internal or external surface. It is best practice to apply enDuratite Foundation to surfaces which face direct water contact to encourage accelerated penetration and crystallization of the chemicals.

**When and where to apply?**

EnDuratite Foundation should be used when concrete remediation is required. Areas where foundation would be most effective are foundation walls, basement slabs, retaining walls, tunnels, elevator pits, and other concrete surfaces. EnDuratite Foundation is commonly used in conjunction with enDuratite Repair Grout and enDuratite Plug to stop active leaks.

*(see* [*Surface Preparation*](/alchemco-documentation/surface-preparation.md) *for treatment of active leaks)*

**How to Apply**

*(see* [*ETT Application Procedure – Order of Operations*](/alchemco-documentation/ett-application-procedure.md#order-of-operations) *prior to applying)*

**Surface Cleaning & Preparation**

EnDuratite Foundation must be applied to a clean, dry, dust-free concrete surface, at least 14 days after the placement of new concrete. If the concrete is older, existing concrete needs to be cleaned. On some projects, it may make more sense to utilize shot blasting or grinding to prepare the surface for the application of the system and related products. This is acceptable in lieu of chemical cleaning.

**Foundation Application**

Note: EnDuratite Foundation must be applied to concrete or cement surfaces that are wet. If the surface to be treated is dry, spray water to the surface of the concrete until saturated.

1\. Add 1 quart of water to 3 quarts of powder and mix.

2\. Once mixed, continue to stir.

3\. Apply the slurry mixture with a concrete brush using aggressive circular motions.

4\. Ensuring even coverage, let the first coat harden.

5\.      Apply the second coat.

**Precautions**

EnDuratite Foundation is not an effective waterproofing system for joints that experience constant or repeated movement. Consult an Alchemco Technical Representative for project specific recommendations before specifying enDuratite Foundation in elevated structures. enDuratite Foundation will change the color of the surface it is applied to. Consult your Alchemco representative for advice regarding applications with specific aesthetic requirements.

#### CSS-Series (Seismic)

The Compression Seismic Seal (CSS) is made of open micro-cell polyurethane foam impregnated with a hydrophobic polymer sealing compound, which can be used in a variety of waterproofing applications. The polyurethane foam has constant internal forces built into each cell. These cells continuously push against each other and the sidewalls of an opening. This force is used to keep out water, moisture, dust, sound, and weather, providing a permanent, watertight seal.

The self-adhering material is used in various applications. In areas where seismic activity is a consideration, the CSS will respond to multiple, simultaneous movements. The texture of the closed cell material resembles sponge-packing foam. The top surface of the profile has a tough, silicone exposed face to match the color of adjoining structures.

The CSS is typically used in vertical applications or non-pedestrian horizontal applications, along with difficult-to-reach areas, pre-cast panels, isolation joints, window frame closures, and any other opening which requires a resilient, waterproof closure that must also be aesthetically pleasing.

**Features and Benefits**

• Permanently conforms to varying joint contours.

• Excellent compression recovery due to seismic activity.

• No thermal-set; material remains resilient and flexible down to -40°F temperatures.

#### CR-Series Membrane System

The Polycrete CR-Series Membrane System is designed for parking decks and open-air structures. It features a preformed, elastomeric membrane, which is fusion-bonded to the concrete deck with Polycrete Elastomeric Concrete. Once installed, this system provides a watertight seal while flexing in response to fluctuations in joint width.

There are several sizes in the CR-Series group to accommodate different joint opening and movement capabilities.

The membrane incorporates a center section with a heavy-duty web structure and integral edge flaps with factory punched holes. The Polycrete penetrates the holes to secure the membrane to the base of the concrete block out. The center web configuration is precisely located to exert a continuous and uniform horizontal force against the joint walls.

The CR-Series shapes are specifically designed for applications where maintaining a smooth walking surface is important. A series of grooves across the top surface of the cross-section allows the seals to provide a virtually constant level surface during cyclic action.

**Physical Properties**

The system consists of two items: an elastomeric membrane and a field-cured header material. The membrane is available in several sizes. It is an extruded shape made from an EPDM-based, thermo rubber material (Santoprene). The material’s physical properties are as shown in Table 1. The Polycrete consists of a combination of a resin mixture and a gradation of sands and aggregate sizes, blended per recommendations of the manufacturer. (See the Polycrete data sheet for further information and technical properties.)
